Linda Bracken from the National Council for Exercise and Fitness gave a presentation to the Sport, Leisure and Recreation classes about the Certificate in Exercise & Fitness (CEHF), NFQ Level 6, EQF Level 5 Fitness Instructors course 2016. Linda’s presentation was very informative and gave the students of Central College Limerick a great insight into 6 week intensive fitness instructor course.
The National Council for Exercise & Fitness (NCEF) is an academic affiliate of the University Of Limerick (UL) and provides and facilitates comprehensive education and training for exercise and health fitness professional instructors in Ireland.
The CEHF qualifies students as a group fitness instructor enabling them to teach group fitness classes to adults in gyms, local hall/community centres. They will be qualified to conduct fitness assessments for clients, designing appropriate programmes and monitor progress.
One of the main benefits of the CEHF qualification is the ability to work aboard as a Fitness Instructor and you can avail of professional discounted insurance enabling you to teach freelance classes. As the NCEF is university affiliated it is highly recognised outside of Ireland.
Many Central College Limerick students have completed the CEHF and gone on to become very successful fitness instructors and businessmen and woman in a very competitive fitness and leisure industry.
