I returned to education as a mature student in Central College Limerick in 2018. This was a hugely positive experience for me and prepared me for the changing demands of the work environment. I shared class with a diverse group of students, all eager to learn with a shared interest in Social Studies/Community Development. My greatest enjoyment was learning about the cultures and experiences of my classmates both in role play and presentations. I found that tutors were supportive and focused on helping us achieve to the best of our ability. Feedback allowed us insight into personal performance. Classes were interesting and engaging in a relaxed environment. I gained in computer and writing skills and confidence in public speaking. I met some great people and made many friendships. My Level 6 qualification now allows me to apply for jobs in my chosen area of Community Development.
