Siobhan Sneyd is a past student of Central College Limerick. Siobhan began her studies in childcare by enrolling in the CACHE diploma in Childcare and Education programme in Central College Limerick. Siobhan attended the full time programme and completed the course through engaging in class discussions, fulfilling and completing assignments.
Siobhan began her journey at Central College in 2004. Within the second year of the programme, Siobhan began to start a family and had her first daughter. Siobhan found a balance between her personal and college life and was determined to succeed in the course. Siobhan decided to repeat the second year of the course in order to achieve the best results possible as she wanted to use this as a stepping stone to further her education within the field. Siobhan went on to have her second child in the final year of the programme. She graduated with a grade A in professional practice and a grade BB in the theory component. Siobhan then took some time out to spend time out at home with her children.
Siobhan decided to return to education in 2012 when both of her children began primary school. Siobhan applied to the level 8 BA in Early Childcare and Education programme in Mary Immaculate College and enrolled in a place in the 2nd year of the programme due to her results from Central College Limerick. Siobhan graduated with a grade 1 second class degree in 2016 and has begun her career as manager of a preschool and after school service.
