PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

This programme is offered to students who have completed a Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education at QQI Level 5. On completion of the course students can undertake supervisory roles in an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) setting. This programme provides students with an in-depth knowledge of Síolta and Aistear.

Graduates can also progress to Degree programmes in higher education institutions including universities, institutes of technology and private third level colleges offering places on a variety of courses. In certain institutions holders of the Level 6 award may apply for entry into Year 2 of the BA (Early Childhood Studies).
